The Company is provided with suitable equipments and facilities and experienced technicians that allow to meet the production requirements for both its own trading and for contract manufactures. The organization of production based on strictly controlled standard operative procedures and the utmost compliance with the GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) regulations represent the guarantee of the quality of the final product.
In order to reach the maximum quality levels, Elko is provided with a chemical analysis laboratory, where the technicians are allowed to conduct the necessary tests in conformity with the international pharmacopoeiae and with the GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) regulations through the HPLC and IR techniques.
At present the production of semi-solid non sterile forms is made possible by two turbine-emulsifiers, for an average quantity of Kg. 5,000 bulk product daily and by 250- to 800-kg lots.
Three filling and packaging lines (each one devoted to the different active principles) are made up by most modern machineries and allow a daily yield of up to 150,000 aluminium tubes, with a variable diameter of 10 mm to 42 mm, filled with either ointment, or cream or gel.
The three modern tube filling and packaging lines are all completed by a cellophane wrapping machine, that allows to set variable quantities of tubes together.
The size of the warehouse allow considerable storage possibilities for the finished product, as well as for the primary and secondary packaging material.
